It gained a Gold Award in the national Teaching Excellence Framework - the highest standard possible - and The Times and Sunday Times University Guide 2021 also named Lincoln its Modern University of the Year.
Lincoln features some of the most striking architecture in Europe due to its medieval history, and all students will graduate in the majestic Lincoln Cathedral, providing a memorable end to academic studies.

96 per cent of Lincoln's most recent graduates were in work or further study six months after finishing their course with more than 80 per cent in graduate level roles (Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education Survey 2016/17, published July 2018). Lincoln is a top 50 UK university, ranked 45th in the UK (out of 135) in The Times University Guide 2021.

The Student Village comprises the University’s on-campus accommodation and is made up of two purpose-built waterfront complexes: Lincoln Courts and Cygnet Wharf. The University also manages a range of halls of residence and shared housing options for new and continuing students who choose to live off-campus.
Situated in the East Midlands region of England, Lincoln’s central location allows for easy access to a number of major cities including Nottingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Leicester, and Hull.
The University’s main campus is based in the heart of the city, meaning students do not need a car for transport.
The city’s famous Steep Hill – a beautiful cobbled street lined with boutique shops and tearooms - provides the gateway to the city’s historic Cathedral Quarter and Bailgate area where independent shops and cafes nestle between the walls of the medieval Lincoln Castle and the grandeur of Lincoln Cathedral. Both overlook the University of Lincoln.
