University Of Essex Now Offering MA War,Culture and Society

Joining the popular MA History course this year is the brand new MA War, Culture and Society! This degree draws on the expertise of scholars from across humanities, social sciences and health sciences.

 Students will engage with diverse perspectives on war and conflict in the modern period, whilst considering the effects of war on different scales, from the individual to the state and the local to the global, and on different groups. There is also the option of choosing a variety of taught modules across a range of disciplines!

In the Department of History the enthusiasm for the subject is infectious. The academics are actively engaged in historical endeavours which make an impact beyond academia.As poets, playwrights, documentary filmmakers, policy advisers, museum consultants and media pundits, they will ensure that what they teach reflects the world we live in.
